Many of the biggest names in Slovenian contemporary art will be showcased at the 10th Triennial of Contemporary Art, a flagship event for the capital's museums of modern and contemporary art which has transitioned in the past three decades from an overview of selected artistic practices to a space that addresses current issues of the contemporary art system.

Dubbed Against the Stream of Time, the triennial combines the curator's subjective view and an analytical approach to the issues of the contemporary art system.

Rather than focusing exclusively on the presentation of artistic practices that directly communicate with current issues in contemporary art, the project centers on detecting the problems faced by the Slovenian art scene, Moderna Galerija says.

The exhibition, curated by Tevž Logar, is a collaboration with the Piran Coastal Galleries, Celje Center for Contemporary Arts, Božidar Jakac Art Museum, Koroška Gallery of Fine Arts, Maribor Art Gallery, Belgrade Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art, abnd Rijeka Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
