Jun 21 - Jun 29

The Lent Festival in Maribor, the largest outdoor summer festival in Slovenia, is returning to the Drava riverfront after extensive renovations there have been completed.

The main stage will see headliners such as by Slovenian singer Magnifico, a capella choir Perpetuum Jazzile, and Bosnian pop rock group Plavi Orkestar.

The international folk festival section Folkart will feature folk groups from India, New Zealand, South Korea, Panama, Portugal, Montenegro and Slovenia.

Among the highlights of Jazzlent are multiple Grammy Award nominee, Malian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara, Cuban pianist Alfred Rodriguez and Istanbul Sessions from Turkey.

There are a total of ten venues, along the riverfont and in the centre of the city, with programmes dedicated to classical music, children, dance and street theatre.

The programme is not available in English. The Slovenian schedule is available here.
