Bled

The 29th edition of the Bled Festival will see 14 concerts, master classes for young musicians, a fiddle workshop given by a master from Cremona and an exhibition of portraits and caricatures.

The festival's artistic director Jernej Brence noted classical and jazz music concerts, as well as poetry, chanson, comedy, bossa nova and the folk-jazz ensemble Amenian Spirit, a project of the pianist Karen Asatrian.

The opening event at Bled Festival Hall will see singer-songwriter from the Primorska region Iztok Mlakar perform his latest comedy del'arte show.

Londinium, one of London's most versatile and accomplished chamber choirs, will make its first guest appearance in Slovenia at the same venue on 7 July, conducted by Andrew Griffiths.

Apart from the Festival Hall, concerts will also be held at St Martin's Church and Grand Hotel Toplice.
