Beer and Flowers Festival

Jul 11 2024 - Jul 14 2024
Laško

The largest and oldest tourist event in the country, held every year since 1964, the Beer and Flowers Festival in Laško in the east of the country is being extended to four days this year.

This year's line-up of musical acts includes Tony Hadley, formerly the lead singer of the Spandau Ballet, and Baby Lasagna, the Croatian 2024 Eurovision Song Contest runner-up.

Baby Lasagna will perform on the opening night along with rap and hip-hop artist Masayah and rock band Mi2 from Slovenia and Croatia's Gibonni.

Several other popular Slovenian acts, including rock band Dan D and pop dive Helena Blagne, will perform on either of two festival stages, with the Austrian electro swing, pop, and EDM band Deladap wrapping up the musical programme in the wee hours on Sunday.

Beer and concerts aside, the visitors will be treated to a number of heritage, recreational, entertainment, family-friendly and art events and workshops, culminating with the Beer and Flowers parade and the brass band festival on Sunday.

Festival ticket holders will be able to take a free train ride from anywhere in Slovenia to Laško, home to the country's largest brewery.
