The idyllic spot at the confluence of the Tolminka and the Soča in the west of the country will provide the venue for the second edition of the metal music festival Tolminator.

A downsized successor to the hugely popular but since discontinued MetalDays, Tolminator proved a major success last year, the organizers say.

This year more than 60 bands from Slovenia and abroad will perform on three stages up until Saturday, 27 July, including Behemoth, Primordial, Harakiri for the Sky, Patroness, Kamra, Suffocation, Asphyx and Sinister.

There will also be activities such as table football, tattooing and skateboarding.

The organizers expect 80% of the visitors from abroad, with tickets so far sold to 40 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and India.
