A two-week cross-border festival, Prečkanja - Sconfinamenti, will open in Italy's Gorizia with a concert by three world renowned young pianists, Alexander Gadjiev, Ido Ramot and Jong Hwa Park.

Initiated by Gadjiev, the festival features top-class classical music concerts focusing on up-and-coming talents from around the world, artist residencies and master classes. It is taking place at several venues between the cross-border area of Nova Gorica and Gorizia, and Ljubljana.

The programme of the opening concert includes Ludwig van Beethoven's Eroica Variations, Frédéric Chopin's Heroic Polonaise, Maurice Ravel's La Valse and improvisations, both solo and on two pianos.
