Zebra and Shots film festivals

Jul 27 - Aug 3
Slovenj Gradec

The town of Slovenj Gradec in northern Slovenia will host two film festivals between 27 July and 3 August, one showing animated films and the other shorts.

The 7th edition of the Zebra animated film festival will cater to a broad audience, with the day programme at five locations aimed at visitors from age four onwards, and open air screenings in the centre of town in the evening for adults.

Along with the 31 films from 21 countries, picked from 280 entries, the festival will also provide for other forms of entertainment as well as culinary delights, and a film-making workshop for the young.

Following a three-day break, which will be bridged with a mindfulness workshop, the Shots short film festival will start on 1 August. It will feature 16 films from 11 countries, with European production dominating this year.

Around 1,100 entries arrived for the ninth edition of the Shots, whose central venue is the courtyard of the Rotenturn Manor, where screenings start at 9pm.
