Pop and rock festival on the Kolpa

Jul 25 - Jul 28
Fara

Fara, a small village on the border river Kolpa in the south of the country, will host a line-up of some of the most popular Slovenian and Croatian acts for what is the country's largest outdoor pop and rock music festival.

Baby Lasagna, the Croatian pop star who came second in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, and Slovenia's Magnifico are among those headlining the Castle Festival, which is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.

The opening day will see Hot Thunder, RoMa Child, Masayah, Koala Voice, Mrfy, S.A.R.S. and Let3, with Ice on Fire, Fed Horses, Tabu, Magnifico, Big Foot Mama, Baby Lasagna and Pero Lovšin taking the stage on Friday, and Klon, Gušti, Kokosy, Hamo & Tribute 2 Love, Vlado Kreslin, Prljavo kazalište and Šank Rock will perform on the main stage on Saturday.

In all more than 50 bands and singers will perform.

Since the festival had to be cut short last year due to the floods, the visitors have been issued vouchers to buy festival tickets at a discount.

The visitors will again have the option of camping on the Kolpa.
