Days of National Costumes and Clothing Heritage
Sept 6 - Sept 8 Kamnik
Kamnik, a town just north of Ljubljana, will attract hundreds of individuals and groups wearing lavish traditional costumes from various parts of Slovenia for its annual Days of National Costumes and Clothing Heritage.
The three-day festival, which the Guardian ranked one of the 20 great traditional festivals in Europe a few years ago, will culminate with the parade of national costumes on Sunday, 8 September, featuring some 2,000 members of folklore groups from all over the country.
Various folk music and dance ensembles, accordion and tamburitza players, brass bands and majorettes will perform throughout the festival.
