The Castle Vineyard, situated on the southern slope of the Ljubljana Castle Hill, will hold Open Day on World Tourism Day.

The vineyard is not open to the public during the year, so this will be an opportunity for visitors to stroll among the grapevines and learn more about the vineyard, the grapes and the wine they produce.

A limited number of bottles of Belpin (Chardonnay) and Rdečegrajc (Zweigelt) from the Castle Vineyard will be available for tasting and sale, along with taste macaroons with the Rdečegrajc and grappa made from the pomace of the Belpin.

The grapes have already been picked this year and are expected to produce a quality vintage, due to the favourable weather conditions that brought the best out of both varieties.

The vineyard was planted in 2016 and comprises more than 1,000 vines of the Belpin and Rdečegrajc varieties.

In case of bad weather, Open Day will be cancelled.
