Indigo Festival

Oct 2 - Oct 4
Cukrarna, Ljubljana

Providing a platform for contemporary trends in the arts, culture, design and philosophy with a mix of concerts, discussions and lectures, the 9th annual Indigo Festival will be held under the banner Parallel Worlds - Parallel Time.

Everyone nowadays sells their reality for different purposes, as a proxy in war, in the corporate world, in marketing activities or to win elections. They all claim to be the best and support this with hard "facts".

And yet, as the world becomes defined by artificial intelligence, it is approaching point when human consciousness will not be able to distinguish between what is true and what is false, artistic director Blaž Peršin says.

The event is best known for talks with high-profile philosophers and it is staying true to its mission.

Star philosopher Slavoj Žižek, in conversation with Labour Minister Luka Mesec, the former leader of the Left party, will be one of the highlights, along with Mladen Dolar, another member of the Ljubljana School, who will have a discussion with and French philosopher and musicologist Peter Szendy

Music will be delivered by the likes of UK artist Iglooghost, Slovenian underground DJ Gabi98, and Olof Dreijer, a member of the Swedish electronic pop group The Knife.
