The 28th Ljubljana Marathon, the country's biggest event for runners, will feature a marathon, half marathon and a 10km run. On the day before, pre-school children will compete in a 200m Lumpi run.

The marathon features a flat course, starting in Slovenska Street and finishing in Congress Square, both in the centre of the Slovenian capital.

The deadline for applications is 30 September, except for the Lumpi run, where registrations are open until 10 October.
