 Tolmin

This festival celebrates the local staple - the cheese potato omelette known as frika, and the tradition of shepherds and their sheep and cattle returning to the valley from mountain pastures at the end of the season.

Apart from the frika there will be plenty of foods to sample, foremost the unique cheeses from the Soča Valley, including the local cow milk cheese Tolminc, albumin cottage cheese and Bovec sheep milk cheese.

The event takes place in Tolmin's central square and surrounding streets.
