The 11th Istria Cycling Marathon will feature routes of 15km, 48km and 78km with elevation gains of 50, 660 and 1,260 metres, respectively.

All the races start and finish in the seaside town of Ankaran, with the shortest course running to Koper and back and the other two routes taking in the hinterland villages and the coastal town of Izola as well, affording fine views along the way.

Ahead of the races on Sunday, Saturday's programme will feature a mini marathon for children and a family cycling trip.

The accompanying programme includes a market of Istrian arts, crafts and cuisine and a musical programme.
