The 11th Sparkling Wine Festival at the Kempinski Palace Hotel in Portorož will feature more than 250 sparkling wines from 46 wineries.

All Slovenian wine regions will be represented, along with select sparkling wines from Croatia, Italy and Spain as well as exclusive French champagnes presented by sommelier Valentin Bufolin.

Visitors will be able to taste white, red, and rosé sparkling wines, crafted using the traditional or Charmat methods, as well as treats such as oysters, sushi and truffles.

Best sparkling wines selected from 71 samples submitted by 28 wineries will be declared.

The event, running between 4pm and 8pm, will also feature Italian DJ and saxophonist Luca Capizzi.

It will be followed by an admission-free Sparkling Wine After Party at a former salt depot, Magazin Grando.
