The world's best men alpine skiers, including World Cup leader Marco Odermatt of Switzerland, will hit the slopes in Kranjska Gora for the 64th Vitranc Cup at the first weekend in March.

The World Cup meet will feature a giant slalom on 1 March and a slalom on 2 March. Slovenia's Žan Kranjec will be aiming for the first podium for a home skier in 23 years at Saturday's event.

The accompanying programme will include an apres ski party in front of Kompas Hotel on Shrove Saturday.

Following a bib draw on the eve of the competition, entertainment will be provided DeeJayTime Back in Time Carnival with the bands Karma in Groove Coverage.

The local folk pop band Fehtarji will entertain the crowd at the foot of the Podkoren hill after the first run of the giant slalom and singer Natalija Verboten will perform after the first run of the slalom.
