The Cankarjev Dom and the Galerija Fotografija are mounting a major exhibition by English environmentalist photographer Nick Brandt. The Day May Break is the first part of a global series portraying both people and animals that have been impacted by environmental degradation and destruction.

The series was shot in countries that produce the least pollution but are the most vulnerable to climate change. Chapters one through three, presenting photos shot in Kenya, Zimbabwe and Fiji, will be on show at the Cankarjev Dom. Chapter four, shot in Jordan, will be featured at the Galerija Fotografija.

Brandt focuses on the impact of environmental destruction and climate breakdown, for some of the most vulnerable people, and for the animal and the natural world.

He has been working on The Day May Break, an ongoing global series, since 2020.
