Neanderthal exhibition at Bled Castle
Apr 4 2025 - Jun 30 2025 Bled
An exhibition on the Krapina Neanderthal, a collection of prehistoric human remains found in a cave near Krapina, Croatia, is on show at Bled Castle in a collaboration with the Neanderthal Museum Krapina.
Visitors will learn about the lives and culture of the Neanderthals, and explore fossils of extinct animals. The backdrop is provided by tunes played on a replica of a prehistoric flute.
Their remains of Neanderthals were first discovered in 1899 and the Krapina site is still considered one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world.
