Gibanica, a biennial festival of contemporary dance, will feature eight performances that provide an overview of the current dance production in Slovenia selected by Ingride Gerbutavičiūtė, director of the Tanzhaus nrw from Düsseldorf, and Nika Arhar, a Slovenian critic.

The performances, on show at the Španski Borci, the Cankarjev Dom, the Old Power Plant and the Ljubljana Dance Theatre, will be combine with workshops for dancers and choreographers, and lectures for those professionally involved in dance.

Additional shows will be put on in the framework of Moving Balkans, a platform that brings together artists from Slovenia and Croatia.
