 Metlika

The largest festival in Slovenia dedicated to wine, the Vigred in Metlika is a combination of wine tastings, concerts and workshops over three days and at multiple venues in Metlika, the heart of the Bela Krajina wine region.

The region is known for its strong red wines and guided tastings with several wineries will be available.

The belokranjska pogača, a special kind of bread, will also feature prominently. Several bread making workshops are planned and a competition for the best belokranjska pogača will be held.

The concert line-up includes Slovenian accordion music stars Modrijani as well as a number of local bands and folk dance groups.
