Centred in the picturesque town of Kanal by the emerald Soča River, the annual Kogoj Days festival will feature nine concerts of contemporary classical music. Several compositions will be performed for the first time. One concert will be held in the port town of Koper and one in Lusevera across the border in Italy.

The Cantabile string orchestra will give the opening concert at Kanal's open-air venue of Kontrada, accompanied by an exhibition of paintings by Ante Trstenjak at the Riko Debenjak Gallery.

Pianist Ivan Skrt will perform at the same venue on 8 September, and the Ljubljana Academy of Music Chamber Orchestra a week later.

The Slovenian Octet will give a concert in Kanal on 16 September and a youth choir in Koper the next day.

Other concerts on the programme are by Carpe Artem (23 September), the Brothers Feguš string quartet with soprano Sabina Cvilak (29 September), women's choir Carmen Manet (1 October) and the chamber orchestra Nova, which will give the closing concert in Lusevere on 8 October.
