Fourteen authors from 12 countries are expected to take part in the 38th Vilenica international literary festival in Ljubljana and the Kras region. Discussions and events will run under the theme The Diverse Face of Europe.
Otto Tolnai, a Hungarian author from the Serbian province of Vojvodina, will receive the Vilenica Prize at the conclusion of the festival, at a ceremony in the karst cave after which the festival and the award are named.
The Slovenian author in focus will be poet Barbara Korun and the countries in focus Austria and Germany; authors Ariane Koch, Silke Scheuermann and Thomas Stangl will take part in the festival.
